We are delighted to announce we will be opening the doors to our community resource centre and restarting face-to-face counselling sessions from Monday 6th July 2020.
The following safety measures will now be in place for the foreseeable:
Community Resource Centre (The Fountain Project, 90-92 Chester Street, Birkenhead, CH41 5DL)
We will be running two wellbeing sessions per day; 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm aimed at reducing isolation and loneliness, providing an opportunity to spend time with others, seek support and talk amongst friends. To book a slot, please call us on 0151 512 2200. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide drop-in sessions and all visitors must book a place.
We ask those who have booked a slot to arrive no more than ten minutes before their allocated time. We ask all visitors be guided by staff, and adhere to any distance markers on the floor, use the hand-sanitiser gel provided when entering the building, and await for a member of staff to sign them in.
Our community cafe will provide a small selection of food and drinks, which will be provided in disposable containers. Distance markers will be placed on the floor for those waiting for food and drinks. Only one person at the counter at one time. Visitors will be permitted to sit at the tables and eat, however this will be restricted to one person per table with a maximum of four tables in the cafe area.
The building including kitchen and eating areas will be thoroughly cleaned after each session and all PPE changed and disposed of.
We hope our support groups and activities will recommence in the following weeks, and we will provide a further update as soon as possible.
Counselling & Befriending
We will commence face-to-face counselling with extra safety procedures in place. There will be a short break between counselling sessions in order for the rooms, reception and waiting areas to be thoroughly cleaned.
Unfortunately, friends and family of those attending counselling will not be able to enter the department and must wait in the main health centre waiting area or outside of the building. For more information about the safety measures in place at our counselling department please contact the team directly on 0151 678 5111 (ask for Wirral Mind) or email@example.com
Our Befriending service will continue via telephone, however, we are exploring ways in which we can recommence this service safely and in line with government guidelines.
All group-training sessions held at Wirral Mind remain on hold; however, the training department along with our sessional trainers continue to develop helpful videos and virtual workshops via YouTube. For any training enquiries, please contact the training department directly via the details below.
We are thrilled to be opening our doors to our community once again. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on 0151 512 2200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
