Depression and anxiety can leave us feeling worried, stressed, sad and overwhelmed and we can, often, forget to put in the much needed ‘Me Time’ needed to rest our bodies and minds. If this sounds like you, why not join Beth to learn some basic yoga postures and breathing techniques that can help you to better manage your own mental health? Yoga is an ancient practice, which improves physical health by building strength and flexibility whilst increasing
mental awareness of your own thoughts and actions.
Over the course of 8 weeks, you will learn:
– Basic yoga postures that can help to reduce symptoms of depression & anxiety
– Fundamental yogic breathing techniques
– How to meditate
– How to recognise signs and symptoms of stress in the body
– How to give yourself the quality time needed to rest your body and mind
These workshops will be focused at beginner level but if you have practised yoga before you are still encouraged to join in the classes to promote further wellbeing into your day to day life. In order to get the best out of the workshops, it is recommended to complete all 8 classes in order from start to finish.
