Introduction to Mindfulness – 07/02/2019

Mindfulness is very much in our news and media at the moment and psychologists, politicians, health care professionals and educators are all getting very excited about research evidence that suggests that Mindfulness practice can have real benefits for many physical and mental health conditions including stress, anxiety and depression.
But what’s it all about and how can you get started?
In this workshop we will look at the basic components involved in Mindfulness training, try out a few simple meditation practices together, look at how we can incorporate Mindfulness into our daily lives and consider why it’s becoming so popular as a way of approaching the ups and downs and challenges of life in a calmer, clearer, kinder and more creative way.
